The painting, Age of Aquarius, is a depiction of the constellation, Aquarius. This was created by Master Svietliy in 2022.
This piece was inspired by the new age of Aquarius we are entering. Creating this piece was especially interesting and chaotic for Master Svietliy because of there being no measurements involved at all, just purely tuning into the energy of the cosmos.
The constellation of Aquarius is representative of a man pouring water from a bucket into the mouth of the Southern Fish or the constellation of Pisces. Aquarius translated from Latin means “cup bearer” or “water bearer”. The Greeks linked this constellation to Ganymede, the cup bearer to the Gods or with Zeus pouring life-giving water onto Earth. The constellation of Aquarius contains several planetary nebulas.
